Interlibrary Loans typically take a minimum of 4 days to receive. The Technical Services staff (room 301E in the library) will assist you with your Interlibrary Loan needs and questions. We can be reached by phone at 360.383.3294, or e-mail at kharrison@whatcom.edu.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a system of borrowing and lending books, articles, and media between libraries. If there is a desired resource that local libraries neither have nor have a suitable substitute for, then we can try to ILL it from another library.
When should I use ILL?
When the item you want is not available from any library in Whatcom County. Your WCC ID card is your library card for access to all libraries within Whatcom County.
Provide us with all of the information you have about the item, including type (e.g. book, DVD, sheet music, etc.), and any additional notes you’d like to share. If you need multiple items, please submit a separate request for each one. Please make sure that the contact information you provide is accurate. The online form is under Contact Us.
Is there a cost for ILL?
Usually there is no charge, but if there will be costs for a particular request, we will contact you prior to any charges being applied.
