The 2019 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will be up and running again this year.
Beginning on Monday, February 11, student VITA volunteers will be available to prepare simple tax returns for individual taxpayers in the Heiner Library Room 201B.
This year, the WCC VITA site will be open on the following days during the following times:
Monday evenings - 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Friday mornings - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Friday afternoons - 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Please note that due to the government shutdown, in all likelihood tax refunds will be delayed this tax season.
Also note that the WCC VITA site will be closed on Monday, February 18, for the Presidents Day holiday, and between Monday, March 25 and Monday, April 1 for Spring Break.
If you decide to have your tax returns prepared by a WCC VITA volunteer, you should know that tax preparation services at the WCC VITA site are done free of charge.
